Formatting Issues when Pasting from Microsoft Word

Page history last edited by SchoolRack 14 years, 8 months ago

Occasionally formatting issues surface when copying and pasting text from Microsoft Word into the SchoolRack text editor.  To fix the problem, we offer the following recommendations:

  • Are your tables giving you the most trouble?  If so, use the Insert Table feature in the text editor to create your table instead of copying it from Microsoft Word.  To create a table, click the Insert Table icon in the text editor ( ).

  • Copy and paste smaller sections of your Word document into the text editor instead of copying the whole document at once.  Breaking it down into smaller segments and pasting them consecutively may help fix any formatting issues.

  • Try upgrading your web browser to the latest version of Firefox which offers better support with our text editor (download it for free at www.getfirefox.com)

If you're not able to fix the problem with the above suggestions, use our contact form to let us know of your problem and we'd be happy to take a look at the formatting on your website.
